Stephanie’s Maternity Shoot by Shawna Craig
Stephanie got in contact with me in late September hoping to get photos done. She was hoping to do it sooner than later, while the colors were beautiful outside. However knowing she wasn’t that far along we pushed it off to a later date. We had planned for doing this in mid to late November. For people in Spokane Washington we all know about how we were hit with a great wind storm. The power took my power out for six days. This ended up pushing our session into December.
We met and started with her laying on a tree, she knew about this shot however I think mycrazy side kicked in. It was a crisp 40 degrees outside. We moved onto a cold wet rock. Doing everything we could to keeps smiles on, the creativity and laughter started flowing like a rushing river. We walked deep into the park, up hills and through brush. Finding one cove and perfect shot locations.
The images were beautiful. We had planned to do another shoot the following weekend for a sunrise shoot. However, later that week it snowed, it snowed enough that we decided not to go. We decided to go back to the original location and get some missed shots.
The snow was beautiful, Stephanie was beautiful and overall it was the best shoot I have ever done. One thing I know is that Maternity is my niche I love it, I love capturing the beauty and containing that beauty in Art.
Stephanie’s Maternity shoot was by far one of the most fun shoots. I only hope to work more with her and her family in the future.
